P-AVN-6-S · 12G-SDI ⇄ IPMX / ST 2110

SDI in.
IP out.And back.

One transceiver, a third of a rack unit wide. It takes any SDI signal up to 4K60 and puts it on your network uncompressed. Two 25G fibre paths with hitless failover. Genlock straight from PTP. The SDI you already own keeps working, and your network finally gets invited to the show.

The shift

SDI is everywhere.
IP is where it's all going.

Your cameras, routers and trucks speak SDI. Your next LED wall, your IT team and the broadcaster's new truck speak IP. The P-AVN-6-S sits in the middle and speaks both, fluently, in either direction.

01 · Front

A front panel you can actually drive.

Colour LCD with IP address, stream state and boot status. Six buttons get you through setup without hunting for a laptop. Lock it once it's commissioned, dim it for the show.

02 · Form factor

A third of a rack unit. Three across a shelf.

1RU high, 1/3 RU wide. Front-to-back airflow, dust filters you can service yourself, and under 30 dBA at full load. It can live in a quiet control room and nobody will know it's there.

03 · Build

Built to be thrown in a road case.

Metal enclosure designed for rental and staging, where gear gets built up and torn down every week. Side mounting points, 1RU shelf compatible, rubber feet for the desk. Full boot and stable I/O in under 60 seconds.

04 · Rear

Everything on the back, where your cabling lives.

12G-SDI, genlock, HDMI loop out, two SFP28 cages, PoE+ Ethernet, USB-C for KVM, balanced audio and RS-232. One box, one cable plan.

Dual simultaneous streams

Two streams.
One box.
Same time.

Uncompressed ST 2110-20 on 25G for the LED wall and the broadcast truck. JPEG XS on the 1GbE port for IPTV, overflow rooms and control. Both from the same SDI input, both live, both included. No licence key to buy later.

Sub-frame latency either way, so IMAG stays locked to the lips on stage.

One 12G-SDI input feeds the P-AVN-6-S, which sends an uncompressed 25G stream to an LED wall and broadcast truck and a JPEG XS 1G stream to IPTV and overflow rooms at the same time. SMPTE ST 2022-7

Pull a fibre.
Nobody notices.

The same stream leaves on two independent networks at once. The receiver rebuilds the picture packet by packet from whichever copy arrives. Lose a switch, a cable or a clumsy stagehand's footing, and the output doesn't drop a frame.

Go on. Try it.

A sender P-AVN-6-S sends the same stream over network A and network B to a receiver. Cutting either path leaves the output running. P-AVN-6-S sender P-AVN-6-S receiver switch A SFP28 1 switch B SFP28 2

PTP → Genlock

Every frame lands on the same line.

Cameras, media servers and LED processors all need to hit the frame at the same moment. Miss it and cuts tear, graphics stutter and the director notices. The P-AVN-6-S takes network time and turns it into a genlock reference the rest of the rig can follow. No separate sync converter in the rack.

  1. Listens to PTPIEEE 1588-2008 per SMPTE ST 2059-2, with redundant clock domains. Falls back to RTCP when there's no grandmaster.
  2. Generates genlockBlack burst or tri-level sync out of the Genlock BNC, derived from network time.
  3. Everything locks±12 pixel phase accuracy. At 4K60 that's about 20 nanoseconds.

Every port earns its place.

Tap a port. Each one replaces something you'd otherwise buy, rack, power and troubleshoot separately.

    Count the boxes

Six boxes in. One comes out.

Compare it on what it replaces, not on list price alone. One unit is encoder, decoder and format bridge, with sync, monitoring and KVM built in.
